Basketball Game Preview: Gulf Pointe Latin Gladiators vs. South Baldwin Christian Academy Knights

Having just played yesterday, the Gulf Pointe Latin Gladiators will head out on the road to face off against the South Baldwin Christian Academy Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, Gulf Pointe Latin ended up a good deal behind Aletheia Christian Academy and lost 54-35. The game marked the Gladiators' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Baldwin Christian Academy). They breezed by L.E.A.D. Academy to the tune of 70-39 back in December of 2024. The win was some much needed relief for the Knights as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

South Baldwin Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Gulf Pointe Latin, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-6.

Gulf Pointe Latin and South Baldwin Christian Academy were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but Gulf Pointe Latin came up empty-handed after a 50-49 defeat. Can Gulf Pointe Latin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
