Recap: Norfolk Christian vs. North Cross
After having lost a blowout to Bishop Sullivan Catholic in their previous game, Norfolk Christian was happy to find some success on Saturday. Norfolk Christian snuck past North Cross with a 27-22 win. The success represented a nice turnaround for Norfolk Christian, who in their last game suffered a tough 13-45 loss.
North Cross's defeat came about despite a quality game from sophomore Gabe Zappia, who passed for 179 yards and 2 touchdowns. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse junior Aden Britton, who racked up 25 tackles.
The win got Norfolk Christian back to even at 1-1. The loss dropped North Cross's record to 0-2.
Next week, Norfolk Christian take on Atlantic Shores Christian at 7:00 PM. Norfolk Christian continues their travels as they hit the road for the second straight contest.
