Basketball Recap: Phillips Piles Up the Points Against Lisle

It's playoff time, and Phillips had no trouble coming through when it counted. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Lisle Lions 57-20. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Phillips' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dajia Cohen led the charge by going 5-for-9 en route to 12 points along with six assists and five steals. Cohen is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games she's played. Nakiyah Williams was another key player, going 5-for-7 to rack up 11 points in addition to seven assists and five boards.

Cohen wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Phillips was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

Despite the loss, Lisle still got an impressive performance from Ally Russell, who posted seven points and five rebounds.

Phillips pushed their record up to 24-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.2 points. As for Lisle, their loss dropped their record down to 14-20.

Phillips has already played their next game, a 39-25 win against IC Catholic Prep on the 27th. Lisle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
