Baseball Recap: Sam Rayburn Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

Sam Rayburn won the last time they faced Trenton and things went their way on Friday too. The Rebels came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 6-1.

Cooper Robison spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 15 Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Sam Rayburn is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-7 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jamison Dorris, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February.

Sam Rayburn has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Trenton, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-11-2.
