Basketball Recap: Banning Lewis Academy Skates Past Basalt with Ease

Banning Lewis Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They breezed past the Basalt Longhorns to the tune of 65-25 on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Stallions also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

Matthew Lebron was nothing short of spectacular: he shot 54% from beyond the arc on his way to 28 points and three steals. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Zander Muna, who posted eight points in addition to seven assists and four steals.
