Soccer Game Preview: Queen Creek vs. Desert Edge

The Queen Creek Bulldogs and the Desert Edge Scorpions will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

On Saturday, Queen Creek came up short against Red Mountain and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, Desert Edge came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.7 goals) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Cardinals as they made off with a 4-1 victory. While the Scorpions didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-8-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

They hit Glendale with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Dominic DeBenedetto (2), Kamil Bednarz, and Kole Rogers.

Queen Creek's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Desert Edge, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
