Los Altos is 7-2 against Milpitas since October of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Trojans at 6:45 p.m. Los Altos will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Los Altos won the last time they faced Los Gatos and Anastasia Marinopoulos did her part to make sure it happened again. The Eagles came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 3-1 on Thursday thanks in part to Marinopoulos, who had 12 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-18, 21-25, 25-17.
Los Altos' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ana Heath, who had seven digs and two aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Los Altos was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in three consecutive contests.
Palo Alto typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Milpitas proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Vikings. The Trojans not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 7th (when they won 3-0).
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 26-24, 25-17.
Los Altos better focus on containing Ashley Chen and Ahnnayah Jhazmyn Buenaflor as the pair were huge in Milpitas' win. Chen had seven aces and six digs, while Buenaflor had six digs and two aces. That's the most aces Buenaflor has posted since back in September.
Los Altos' record now sits at 21-5. As for Milpitas, their record is now 18-9.
Los Altos came out on top in a nail-biter against Milpitas in their previous matchup back in September, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
