Volleyball Recap: Athens Academy Comes Up Short

Athens Academy lost against Loganville back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spartans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Devils. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18.

Sally Swann paced Athens Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Swann got some help from Lucy Wages and her nine assists.

Athens Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Loganville, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

Looking ahead, Athens Academy will host Franklin County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Loganville, they will face off against Providence Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
