Basketball Game Preview: John Carroll Patriots vs. Pallotti Panthers

The John Carroll Patriots will venture away from home to take on the Pallotti Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. John Carroll knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Pallotti likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, John Carroll lost to Glenelg Country on the road by a 74-57 margin.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 83-42, which was the final score in Pallotti's tilt against St. Frances Academy on Friday. While losing is never fun, Pallotti can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while St. Frances Academy is ranked fifth).

John Carroll's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Pallotti, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

John Carroll came up short against Pallotti in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 67-59. Can John Carroll avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
