Volleyball Recap: Academy for Urban Scholars Falls to Patriot Prep Academy in First Game of Season

Academy for Urban Scholars had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriot Prep Academy Eagles.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-14, 20-25, 25-20.

Among those leading the charge was Brielle Sanders, who had 11 aces and six assists. Those 11 aces gave her a new career-high.

Patriot Prep Academy moved to 3-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Academy for Urban Scholars is set to challenge their familiar foe Ohio School for the Deaf at 5:00 p.m. on the 25th. Meanwhile, Patriot Prep Academy will take on rival Horizon Science Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
