Oak Forest won the last time they faced Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bengals won by a set and slipped past the Meteors 2-1.

Oak Forest had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-19, 25-23.

Cade Dempsey paced Oak Forest's offense, picking up six kills. Dempsey got some help from Jacob Hladyshewsky and his 21 assists.

Oak Forest's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Oak Forest is set to take on their familiar foe Hillcrest at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South will face off against rival Evergreen Park at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
