Baseball Game Preview: Sequim Wolves vs. Bainbridge Spartans

Sequim is 1-8 against Bainbridge since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wolves will host the Spartans at 4:15 p.m. Sequim has given up an average of 6.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Sequim came up short against Orting on Friday, falling 13-7.

Meanwhile, Bainbridge waltzed into their game on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the Knights as they made off with an 11-1 win. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by nine runs or more this season.

Bainbridge's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Sequim, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Sequim suffered a grim 9-1 defeat to Bainbridge in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
