Soccer Recap: Islands Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Islands can now relate to. They fell just short of the Luella Lions by a score of 2-1 on Monday. That's two games in a row now that Islands have lost by just one goal.

Their goal came courtesy of Holly Kachmar, who's now up to 27 this season.

Islands dropped their record down to 7-11 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Luella, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Islands does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Luella, they will square off against Adairsville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Luella will need to watch out since Adairsville have now posted at least four goals in their last five games.
