Volleyball Recap: Maysville Comes Up Short

Maysville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Ridgewood Generals. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Generals when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-14.

Evee Matthews paced Maysville's offense, picking up four kills. Matthews got some help from Riley Dooley and her eight assists.

Maysville's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Ridgewood, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Maysville will be playing in front of their home fans against West Muskingum at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ridgewood, they will venture away from home to challenge Tuscarawas Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
