The Nova Titans will challenge the Dr. Krop Lightning at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nova will be strutting in after a victory while Dr. Krop will be coming in after a loss.
Nova will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Somerset Academy on Friday. The Titans walked away with an 11-6 win over the Panthers. Considering the Titans' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Ayden Paredes made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Nova is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-10 otherwise. Paredes was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Cole Boisvert was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Allan Cruz was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Nova kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Dr. Krop was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (12-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.
Dr. Krop's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Nova, their victory bumped their record up to 12-10.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Nova has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Dr. Krop struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Nova's way against Dr. Krop in their previous matchup back in February, as Nova made off with a 9-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
