Softball Recap: Cranbrook Kingswood Victorious

Cranbrook Kingswood took a nine-run defeat the last time they faced off against Our Lady of the Lakes, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cranes came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lakers on Tuesday, sneaking past 12-11. The high-scoring effort was just what the Cranes needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

The victory got Cranbrook Kingswood back to even at 1-1. As for Our Lady of the Lakes, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Cranbrook Kingswood will host Detroit Cristo Rey at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Cranes their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Our Lady of the Lakes, they will head out to face off against Shrine Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Lakers surely won't give up without a fight.
