Baseball Game Preview: Seacoast Christian Academy Eagles vs. Parsons Christian Academy Lions

Seacoast Christian Academy is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Thursday. They will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Parsons Christian Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Seacoast Christian Academy played against Cedar Creek Christian back in March and lost via forfeit.

Parsons Christian Academy came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Old Plank Christian Academy, falling 20-14. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Defenders recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Christian Ennis and Matthew Winans did some serious damage despite the final result: Ennis scored a run and stole six bases while going 3-for-4, while Winans scored two runs and stole five bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Parsons Christian Academy is 4-2 when Ennis posts two or more stolen bases, but 1-3-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Glenn, who scored two runs and stole five bases.

Even though they lost, Parsons Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .587. This was only their first loss (out of seven games) when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
