Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Stuarts Draft ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over Staunton.

Buffalo Gap's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Stuarts Draft, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Buffalo Gap took their victory against Stuarts Draft when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bison since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
