Football Recap: R.A. Long Takes a Loss + How To Watch

R.A. Long had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-7 to make it seven. They took a blow against the Washougal Panthers, falling 62-0. The Lumberjacks lost against the Panthers in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 28-0 score last time.

As for Washougal, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.8 points on average over those games.

A big part of Washougal's win came down to the chemistry between Tripp Leifsen and his top target Deondrae Goodell. Leifsen threw for 111 yards and a pair of TDs while Goodell picked up 80 receiving yards and one score. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 63 yards.
