Baseball Game Preview: San Jacinto Christian Academy Patriots vs. Kress Kangaroos

The San Jacinto Christian Academy Patriots are taking a road trip to take on the Kress Kangaroos at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. San Jacinto Christian Academy is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, San Jacinto Christian Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Gruver and fell 6-5. That's two games in a row now that the Patriots have lost by just one run.

Sternenberg went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Cruz scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. That's the most hits Sternenberg has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Matthew Richard, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Kress scored the most runs they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They took an 18-15 hit to the loss column at the hands of Olton.

Jordan Burns made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Guzman, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

San Jacinto Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Kress, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

San Jacinto Christian Academy took their victory against Kress when the teams last played back in February by a conclusive 9-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for San Jacinto Christian Academy since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
