Basketball Recap: Ellington Whippets vs. Winona Wildcats
Ellington was the 50-39 winner over Winona when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Ellington Whippets took a 58-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Winona Wildcats. The Whippets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ellington's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Winona, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ellington will welcome South Iron at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Iron will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Ellington surely won't give up without a fight. As for Winona, they will face off against Dora at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
