Vestavia Hills extended their postseason success on Saturday against Hewitt-Trussville. They had just enough and edged out the Huskies 8-7. This was a revenge game for the Rebels: when they faced off against the Huskies last Thursday, they had to take a 12-1 loss.

Vestavia Hills pushed their record up to 15-19-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Hewitt-Trussville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 27-15-1 record this season.

Hewitt-Trussville has already played their next game, an 11-1 win against Oak Mountain on the 26th. Hopefully Vestavia Hills paid attention to the Huskies' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Huskies at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
