After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Kirtland Central, Miyamura was happy to have turned things around  on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by  a  13-1 margin over the Shiprock Chieftains. Considering the Patriots have won seven matches by more than five  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Brady Antonio and  Xavier Brown were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound,  Antonio   struck out eight batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Meanwhile,  Brown   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Antonio also  tossed  no  earned runs, which is notable because Miyamura is 6-2 when he allows at  most  three  earned runs, but 5-9 otherwise. At the plate,  Antonio  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI, while  Brown  went 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases and two  runs. Those  three  RBI gave  Antonio a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Shane Escajeda was a standout: he got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with four  stolen bases and three  runs. He has become a key player for Miyamura: the team is 2-1 when he posts  at  least  two  stolen bases, but 9-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was  Julian Caraveo, who  went 2-for-3 with four  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  triple.
 Miyamura  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. They are  a perfect 4-0 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
The  victory  got Miyamura back to even at 11-11. As for Shiprock,  they are  on  a  nine-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 7-14.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Miyamura will  challenge  rival Bloomfield  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Shiprock is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Gallup  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
