Soccer Game Preview: Bay vs. Northeast Jones

The Bay Tigers will face off against the Northeast Jones Tigers on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Bay is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Purvis a 7-0 shutout. The victory was familiar territory for the Tigers who have now won three games in a row.

Meanwhile, Northeast Jones waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Aggies 5-0. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly five goals.

Northeast Jones has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 44 goals over those eight games. As for Bay, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.

Bay was able to grind out a solid victory over Northeast Jones when the teams last played back in November of 2024, winning 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bay since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
