Basketball Recap: Glendale Takes a Loss

Glendale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 67-57 to the Washington Rams. The match was a 36-36 toss-up at halftime, but the Cardinals couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the loss, Glendale still got an impressive performance from Michael Palomino, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and 15 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Palomino a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Anthony Duran, who posted 11 points.

Even though they lost, Glendale smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.

Glendale's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Washington, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glendale will square off against Copper Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Washington, they will venture away from home to take on La Joya Community at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Washington's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.
