Soccer Recap: Vidor Takes a Loss

Vidor was the 2-0 winner over Little Cypress-Mauriceville when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vidor Pirates fell 3-1 to the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears on Friday. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Braiden Ramos, who's now up to three this season.

Vidor's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Little Cypress-Mauriceville, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Vidor and Little Cypress-Mauriceville could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Vidor (ranked 759th) will meet Bridge City (ranked 216th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Little Cypress-Mauriceville will challenge Jasper at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 413 places (735 vs. 322).
