Volleyball Recap: Apple Valley Comes Up Short

Apple Valley managed to slip by Serrano the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Sun Devils came up short against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Sun Devils' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-5, 25-16.

MADISON RIZZARDI paced Apple Valley's offense, picking up four kills. RIZZARDI got some help from SALLY BALLAT and her seven assists. BALLAT was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Apple Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Serrano, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Apple Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Hesperia on the 6th. As for Serrano, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Oak Hills on the 8th.
