Neligh-Oakdale extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Cooper Arehart. Everything went the Warriors' way against the North Central Knights on Friday as they made off with a 54-28 victory for which the team can thank Arehart, who rushed for 143 yards and five TDs while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 201 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 18 passes. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 138 rushing yards.

Neligh-Oakdale didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Breckin Kight.

Neligh-Oakdale's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for North Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Neligh-Oakdale is set to face off against their familiar foe Creighton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Arehart and Ethan Kuhl. Meanwhile, North Central will take on rival Ainsworth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
