Baseball Game Preview: Orange Panthers vs. Williams Bulldogs

The Orange Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Williams Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Williams took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Orange, who comes in off a win.

Orange's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over Cedar Ridge. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The result came thanks to Oliver Van Tiem's shutout, as he gave up just a hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kayden Bradsher and Henry Hoffman did most of the damage at the plate: Bradsher got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one triple, while Hoffman went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Orange is 6-1 when Bradsher posts two or more runs, but 4-8 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Williams was not able to break out of their rough patch last Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Seaforth. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by just one run.

Williams' defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Orange, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
