Softball Recap: North White Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

North White's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Faith Christian Eagles a 10-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Vikings considering their two-run performance the contest before.

The team relied heavily on Kaylyn Applegate, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Morgan Carter, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, two stolen bases, and two runs.

North White was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Faith Christian only posted a batting average of .059.

North White's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-10. As for Faith Christian, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North White will square off against South Newton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Faith Christian, they will face off against North Montgomery at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
