Basketball Recap: Theodore Victorious

Theodore's tournament run continued when they took on Tate on Saturday. The Bobcats secured a 63-59 W over the Aggies. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bobcats.

Despite the loss, Tate still got an impressive performance from Marcus Cooper, who went 7-for-11 on his way to 21 points and six rebounds. The game was Cooper's sixth in a row with at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Rushon Bradley, who posted eight points and six boards.

Theodore's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Tate, they moved to 10-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Theodore will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Blount at 7:30 p.m. on January 6th. The matchup will give the Bobcats their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Tate, they have already played their next contest, a 63-60 defeat against Mobile Christian on the 29th.
