Baseball Recap: South Stanly Comes Up Short

South Stanly lost against Cherryville back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ironmen. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Stanly saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braylon Tyson, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

South Stanly's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Cherryville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

South Stanly wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-4 win against North Brunswick on the 22nd. As for Cherryville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-1 loss against Legion Collegiate Academy on the 22nd.
