Softball Recap: Jeffersontown Takes a Loss

After flying high against Southern on Thursday, Jeffersontown came back down to earth. The Chargers came up short against the Collins Titans on Monday, falling 21-3. The Chargers have struggled against the Titans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Jeffersontown's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Collins, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4.

Coming up, Jeffersontown will face off against Bullitt East at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Jeffersontown's pitchers better be ready for this one: Bullitt East has averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Collins, they will challenge Shelby County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rockets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.79 runs per game on average), something the Titans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
