The Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary Cardinals won the last time they faced the St. Monica Mariners, and things went their way on Friday too. Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary claimed a resounding 42-6 victory over St. Monica on the road. The result was nothing new for Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary, who have now won six games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Angel Cevallos out in front who rushed for 140 yards while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary also got help from Kehven Portillo who showed off his sure hands for 80 receiving yards.
The win makes it two in a row for Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary and bumps their season record up to 8-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36 points. As for St. Monica, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.
Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary does not have any more games scheduled as of now. St. Monica will head out on the road to face off against Bosco Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
