Soccer Game Preview: Carlmont vs. Woodside

Carlmont and Woodside are an even 4-4-2 against one another since February of 2018, but likely not for long. The Carlmont Scots will welcome the Woodside Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Carlmont's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Carlmont's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They skirted past Hollister 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Scots were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Woodside's offense. They fell just short of El Camino by a score of 1-0 on Monday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Woodside's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Carlmont, their win bumped their record up to 2-4-1.

Carlmont skirted past Woodside 1-0 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Will Carlmont repeat their success, or does Woodside have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
