Baseball Recap: Port Washington Comes Up Short

Port Washington suffered their biggest loss since April 23rd on Monday. They lost 14-2 to the Grafton Black Hawks. The Pirates have struggled against the Black Hawks recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Port Washington saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Morgan, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Port Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Grafton, their win bumped their record up to 15-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Port Washington is set to challenge their familiar foe Cedarburg at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Grafton will take on rival Hartford at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Black Hawks 4, the Orioles 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
