Nettleton and Pontotoc are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Tigers will welcome the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Nettleton is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.

Nettleton's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Hatley as they made off with an 11-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Nettleton, who have now won 13 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The result came thanks to Bailey Payne's shutout, as she gave up just two hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pontotoc). They put the hurt on Clarksdale with a sharp 23-0 win on Monday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Olivia Galloway made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Galloway was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Kelsy Spears was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those stolen bases marked the first that she snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Erynn Boddie, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Nettleton pushed their record up to 25-2-1 with the win, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Pontotoc, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.
