Basketball Recap: Dirigo Comes Up Short

Dirigo managed to slip by Spruce Mountain the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cougars lost 64-40 to the Phoenix on Monday. The game marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Dirigo's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3. As for Spruce Mountain, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Dirigo will take on Monmouth Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Spruce Mountain, they will challenge Winthrop at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
