Softball Recap: Jerome Tigers vs. Wood River Wolverines
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Jerome and Wood River had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Tigers fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 11-10 on Thursday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Sawyer Gararad made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. Peyton Thompson was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Jerome's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Wood River, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-11.
Looking ahead, Jerome will face off against Burley at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Bobcats have now posted at least ten runs in their last four games.
