After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West Forsyth, Grimsley was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They never let the Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. Considering the Whirlies have won eight matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Dixon Broach, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Snyder, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Grimsley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ben L. Smith only posted an OBP of .250.

Grimsley's win bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Ben L. Smith, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Grimsley beat the Golden Eagles by a score of 15-0 later that day.
