Basketball Game Preview: Sandwich Indians vs. Hall Red Devils

The Sandwich Indians will square off against the Hall Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Sandwich has five straight wins, Hall has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Sandwich is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Marengo 74-47. Given Sandwich's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 296th, while Marengo is ranked 663rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Hall ended up a good deal behind Newman Central Catholic on Tuesday and lost 65-51.

Sandwich pushed their record up to 19-11 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points over those games. As for Hall, their loss dropped their record down to 11-16.
