Softball Recap: Gordonsville Tigers vs. Clarkrange Buffaloes
Gordonsville waltzed into their contest on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They never let the Clarkrange Buffaloes get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.
Callie Dillard was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.
In other batting news, McKenzie Herron and Kali Underwood did most of the damage at the plate: Herron scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Underwood scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-1. What's more, Herron posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Laura Thompson, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1.
