Soccer Recap: Hoggard Starts Season with Victory at Home

Hoggard gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Asheboro Blue Comets. Hoggard have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Asheboro, too.

Hoggard's offense was hitting Asheboro from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Ayoub Abdelhamid led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Asheboro's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Hoggard will face off against Ardrey Kell at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Asheboro, they will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on Randleman at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
