After a string of four wins, Coastal Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 53-33 to the Pacific Ridge Firebirds. While losing is never fun, the Stingrays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 958th, while the Firebirds are ranked 471st).

Coastal Academy's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-10. As for Pacific Ridge, their win was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-1.

Coastal Academy will face off against Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Classical Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Pacific Ridge, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against O'Farrell Charter at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
