Softball Recap: Murray Takes a Loss

Murray extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 3-19 in the process. They lost 16-0 to the Ballard Memorial Bombers. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bombers from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

As for Ballard Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 17-11. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by seven runs or more this season.

For Ballard Memorial's part, J Riggs and T Williams did most of the damage at the plate: Riggs got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Williams went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Those three RBI gave Riggs a new career-high. Another player making a difference was A Alexander, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Murray does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ballard Memorial, they will take on Crittenden County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
