Baseball Game Preview: McPherson Bullpups vs. Newton Railroaders

The McPherson Bullpups will face off against the Newton Railroaders on Friday. McPherson's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Newton's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

McPherson is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Collegiate just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Wednesday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 9-9 tie.

Meanwhile, Newton lost 12-2 to Hutchinson on Tuesday.

Newton's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. McPherson's draw gives them a new season record of 21-3-1.
