Basketball Recap: Hillsborough Comes Up Short

Hillsborough was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-46 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gill St. Bernard's Knights . While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Knights are ranked 18th).

Despite the loss, Hillsborough saw an underclassman step up: freshman Aaron Feath posted 13 points.

Hillsborough's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Gill St. Bernard's, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hillsborough has already played their next matchup (against Franklin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Gill St. Bernard's has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Delbarton.
