Basketball Recap: Harper Comes Up Short

Harper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Comfort Bobcats/Deer, falling 64-40. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1085th, while the Bobcats/Deer are ranked 540th).

Harper's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Comfort, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harper will be home for the holidays to greet Mason at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Comfort, they will host Bracken Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bracken Christian will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Comfort surely won't give up without a fight.
