Basketball Game Preview: Albert Lea Tigers vs. Triton Cobras

The Albert Lea Tigers and the Triton Cobras will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Albert Lea came up short against Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton and fell 65-53. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Triton entered their contest against Cannon Falls on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Triton took a hard 70-55 fall against Cannon Falls. While losing is never fun, the Cobras can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Bombers are ranked seventh).

Triton's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3. As for Albert Lea, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
