Volleyball Recap: McHenry Warriors vs. Crystal Lake Central Tigers
McHenry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Crystal Lake Central Tigers. The Warriors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.
The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Crystal Lake Central scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-18.
Teage Wings paced McHenry's offense, picking up five kills. Wings were helped by Kailys Bonni and Bella McClain, who contributed four assists each. Finally, Jocelynn Villegas kept McHenry's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.
McHenry's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Crystal Lake Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.
